Senior minister - time of transition

While we transition leadership, Tony Calman will be working with us at Hawkesbury Valley.

Tony has been a pastor for many years, and in his role at Greater West For Christ and the Baptist Association, has helped several churches transition successfully to new senior leadership. Tony will not be an official ‘interim pastor’, or looking to take the role on long term, but will care for our Ministry Leaders & Chaplains, and to work strategically with our Church Leaders and future pastor search team, and ultimately our whole church, to discern the appointment of a Senior Minister.

Ministry Team

A Ministry Leader takes on the spiritual and practical leadership of a particular Ministry in church life. They form the Pastoral Team of HVBC.

Church Leaders

Church leaders take on the role of Spiritual oversight and shepherding of HVBC. They ensure that we stay true to our God-given Mission, Values and Vision.

Church leaders provide accountability to the Senior Minister and Ministry Team, diversity in voice to the direction and vision of the church and an objective space for church members to communicate. They are elected by members of HVBC, and serve a maximum of three consecutive, two year terms.

Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God,which he bought with his own blood.
