Vision 2008-2010 PDF Print E-mail

During 2007 HVBC has sought God and in faith believe that, over the next three years from 2008-2010 and beyond, HVBC has a vision to GROW BIG AND DEEP.

Growing BIG by fulfilling God's call on us to usher in revival of the Hawkesbury region, to influence outer Western Sydney, Australia and the world. This means transforming the very culture of our community.

Growing DEEP by pursuing our purpose of becoming" passionate and mature followers of Jesus Christ by daily devotion to God, by embracing group life and by doing all we can to resource God's work.

IT IS GOING TO TAKE A MIGHTY MOVE OF GOD

AND

A MIGHTY MOVE OF THE PEOPLE OF HVBC TO ACHIEVE THIS!

All families have moments in their journey together that cause them to look back to the past to remember where they have been and to reflect on the changes that have taken place in the meantime. For those who attend HVBC now, this photo either reminds them of past associations and shared experiences or gives them an opportunity to pick out who was there back then. Little children are little children no longer, families have grown, waistlines may also have grown, wrinkes may have been added, hair may be thinning or a different style and colour and people have moved on to other places and other communities of faith.

Some eight years on from this photo, we look back on the leading of God through all the changes in our years at North Richmond and have confidence in the future He is planning for us. All along the way, we seek God's direction in everything we do, but in a special sense we have looked to Him this year to prompt us in where we need to go and what we need to do over the next three  years.

A key word has emerged in our shared reflections on His leading and that is growth - growth that is both big in its impact of loving others in the community in which we live and deep in pursuing our purpose as a church and as individuals of loving God.
