Day 29 - Prayer, our lifeline to God the creator PDF Print E-mail

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.”  - Revelation 3:20

This profound passage sets the scene very simply; Jesus wants to enter our very being and to be in the deepest of relationship with us. He has taken the initiative and wants to come into our lives. It is up to us to open up to him. The message is clear that it is meant to be a two way communication. Prayer is the personal, direct life line to our heavenly Father, which became available to us through Jesus. The incredible privilege of being able to enjoy the closest of relationship with our heavenly Father, the creator, is truly mind boggling.

We are told that we are sons and daughters of God. He does not require us to be anything but His children. Being the children of a loving father, we have nothing to fear in conversation with him. He loves and cherishes us as we are. Jesus words: “Come as a child,” (Mark 10:15) invites a trusting, uncomplicated open approach to God.

Please pray with us today for the needs of people in Australia, Bangladesh, Burma and Cambodia.
